I'm not exactly sure how to word this without being super cheesy, but I guess I'll just tell it straight. That's how I normally do things anyway. Be warned, I'm not the most eloquent person, and I'm sure someone could word this a lot better than I could, but maybe, just maybe someone could benefit. :P

People are so beautiful.
The way they walk
The way the skin around their eyes crinkle when they smile
The way their eyes light up when they're excited
The way they talk and giggle and cry
The way they look up at the stars on a clear night
The way even simple things give them a sense of wonder
The way sing--loudly, in the shower
The way they need a hug sometimes
The way they read words and images form in their minds! Seriously! Right in their heads!
The way they think
The way they sob-long, hard sobs
The way that silent tear rolls down their cheek-and the way they wipe it away
The way they get back up after a fall
The way they
The way they

(you can fill in the blanks)

people are so beautiful

And see, what kills me is when people think they aren't beautiful. How people can cry in their rooms because they don't look like other people.
Because they don't have the facial features of an airbrushed model.
Because their value is apparently based on a set of genetics they can't control

Not everyone is pretty.
Not everyone has mesmerizing eyes
Not everyone has straight teeth
Or the "perfect body"
Not everyone has a cute nose
Or a
Or a

(you can fill in the blanks)

But everyone is beautiful.

Everyone
walks
smiles
gets excited
talks
laughs
cries
sings

in a different way

and its just so

so

beautiful

I've never met anyone who isn't beautiful. I'm not gonna lie, I've met tons of people (including myself haha) who aren't the "prettiest or most attractive", but I've never met someone who isn't beautiful.

And you know what? The value of "prettiness" is highly overrated. Whether or not you are pretty (or even beautiful), that isn't what matters! How do people define themselves by their face? How do they say that their alignment of genes, which they can't control, makes them worse or better than someone?

How can you think that?

Your value can never come from something so shallow as your face.

Your value comes from the fact that you are made in God's image. God made you. Think about that, seriously! Just like Him. I'm sure He's sad whenever someone criticizes God's beautiful creation.

The fact that God loves me, no matter how unappealing (what strange word choice haha) I may be to others (or even myself), is what gives me value. And I wish the world would see that.

Isn't God brilliant though? Isn't it marvelous how He's made billions and billions of us, and yet none of us are exactly the same?

Our expressions
and mannerisms and speech patterns are all so

different

Don't you find that

beautiful?
I wish I was more eloquent. I can't help the feeling that someone might need this. I have this labeled as poetry...it kind of is and isn't at the same time...so...oh well :P
